I would like a 4 to 6 symbol Japanese tattoo on my ribs but im not sure what to get and I keep finding out its easy to get a statement that’s wrong. I would like something along the lines of "Carpe Diem" which pretty much means stop living for the future and just live your life for what it is today. So if anyone has some phrases that are around 4 or more symbols please post them and tell me what they mean.
Thanks.
Any other Kanji tattoo sites that may help me please post them, thanks.
(and yes i know that everyone and there brother gets a japanese tattoo and its not original so stop telling me that)
Awesome, thanks i must have missed that link on the other one.
Why don’t you tell us EXACTLY what you want, then we’ll tell you the translation… after all, it is your body, and we (at least I), don’t want to be responsible if you decide it is not exactly what you wanted.
good luck
I am getting the tattoo on the back of my neck.
I found the design I want!! When I saw it, I just knew:) Its actually a design from a rubber stamp lol!

The words Strength, Courage, and Patience, I just Don’t want them to be the typical symbols that everybody has, and I want them to be semi small.
well tattoos are not about what everyone has or doesn’t have, in my opinion that are supposed to mean something to you.
These are very strong words, and it should be all about how you want them to be. if you like the kanji, have the kanji.
tats are all about you and your life!
i really want to get this tattoo that has two koi fish swimming together and i cant find the meaning anywhere.. ive found the meaning of just a koi fish and i know it represents courage/strength nd even love.. then again i found one that said it looks like a pisces sign nd im a pisces so i thot the meanings/symbols could go together.. [me being pisces, and the symbol of me n my man getting stronger by the day].. i have a cherry blossom tree tattoo on my right shoulder and was thinking bout getting the koi fish tattoo on my lower back on the left side.. i have cherry blossoms falling from the tree nd the koi fish tattoo has cherry blossoms too so i figured since the cherry blossom represents how basically we only get to live one life and to cherish how beautiful it is.. i figured it could connect like.. we only get to live one life, to cherish life itself and the people in it.. and since he’s very important to me we’ll represent the two koi fish the blossoms kinda fall on? good idea?
Forget about it !, Tattoos should have everlasting personal meaning. Tattos are forever.

Ok my daughter just turned 18 and she wants a chinese symbol on her shoulder blade. I don’t have a problem with it but we are both stuck on which symbol she should get. We wanted something that looks nice and has a really nice meaning. Any ideas?
Tattoos aren’t a bad thing. But the tattoo she wants, in my opinion, it tacky.
Honestly, does she even speak a bit of Chinese? Is she interested in the language or the culture? Does she know that there is a meaning behind every stroke of the symbol?
Are you going to get it done by a tattoo artist that can do it accurately? I mean one misplaced, wrongly curved stroke can make the symbol mean something completely different and she leaves with a MESSED UP tattoo.
I find it very tacky when people get tattoos in languages they can’t speak, don’t understand or care nothing about except for it looks "cool" or "in".
Plus, she doesn’t know what she wants? How long has she been wanting this tattoo, for a day?
Talk her out of it. I have 4 tattoos myself and I planned them, debated over them and then I got them. They have meaning. The one she gets should have meaning to her.
a friend is going to do a tattoo of a celtic cross for me (mums irish) and i didn’t like the photos he had so can anyone direct me to sites with decent celtic crosses?
I would check these below
Also consider going for the true historical design
and impentation of words in the inner designs of the cross.
Okay, I’m multiracial (leaning more towards black but less then half) and I’m planning on getting a Choctaw Tribal Tattoo since I’m part Choctaw. I was just wondering whether this would be foolhardy of me (like being a poser or something since *unfortuantely* I don’t have a tribal affiliation card or anything like that) to even consider applying a cultures sacred body art to my body, especially since I’m not even a quarter Choctaw. I don’t want to offend anybody (kind of like those people who try to hard to fit into other peoples cultures), but I also want to get one because I’m really proud to be part Choctaw, especially since I can’t exactly claim one, ‘er, group/race/nationality I guess (althought I do self-identitfy as African American)?
Anyway, any help would be greatly appericated! Thanks! ![]()
I am native Canadian ( Inuit) and the only time I get offended is if the person has no idea what it really is or what it means. Of course I think it is silly to get any tattoo if you have no idea what it really means!!! lol If you’re gonna put something on your body you should know what it is!! get the work done…you know were it came from and who you are so you can wear it proud
