i have a tattoo on my arm i would like opinions?

i would really like to cover up the initials in between the wings, keep the wings and keep the new tattoo as small as possible and femanine. any ideas? if so please feel free to send links to pics to my email!!!

(the initials are my sons but his father and i are no longer together and his middle and last name are both his fathers and i dont think the way i had it done 2 years ago was right. i wish i wouldve waited and had something else done somewhere else since i plan on having more kids i would like all their names together. i do plan on getting his first name and birthdate somewhere else immediatly after, most likely in the same day)

remember that it stays forever think it through. i had a picture of my tattoo next to my tv, bathroom mirror and on my books when i woke up (it was a tribal drawn by me) same thing with my spartan,but not with my shakespeare quote (this one was a longtime favorite)

but even if you dont like it now just remember, its a little flashback to who you were then and what your values were, maybe it needs to be covered up, im not the decider but dont forget you got it for a reason, and although that has changed your past does not. i would suggest keeping it, consider it a sign of a slight stray of the conventional path and what you learned from it.

maybe you could give the kids each there own spot and then do one big tattoo for all of them someday. that would sound liek the best to me…but anyways….sorry for rambling. all the best

So I am considering getting a tattoo when I turn 18 before I head off to the Military. I want to get a tattoo for me and my ex bf who after everything we’ve been through together is still my best friend in the world, like no one understands how close he is to me, no one knows me like he does not even my own family. Other than the Lord, there is no one that knows me better. I want it to symbolize our love. I may not be in love with him anymore, but i love him a lot and nothing can ever change that. I was thinking of doing his name with roses, but then i thought about it and decided not to do the name.

What i want to do now is a rose. I’m thinking a rose with different colored petals, since roses have different meanings i don’t want to have to put like a bunch of them. I’m also thinking if I can fit them then put the meaning for the colors, and maybe on the sides put some thorns, because I want to put this on my lower back or centered right under my neck. Idealy, how much would a tattoo like this might cost?

And these are the colors i want in it:
Red: True Love, Deep Love, Romance, And Passion
White: Purity And Innocence
Orange: Enthusiasm, Excitement, And Fascination
Deep Pink: Gratitude Or Appreciation.
Light Pink: Admiration, Joy, And Sweetness.
Yellow: Friendship, Happiness, And Warmth
Lavender: Love At First Sight
Peach: Gratitude, Appreciation, And Admiration
Blue: Something Desired, But Unattainable.
Black: Loss

I wouldn’t clutter the rose with the meanings of the colors. You know the meanings of the colors, you don’t need them tattooed on there, too. A rose with different colored petals would be very pretty. The image it put in my mind reminded me of stained glass.

The cost would vary based on how large you want it. Most places charge by the hour, with $100 an hour being pretty standard. Your rose could take an hour to do, it could take 3 hours to do. So, my guess is between $100 and $300. A cheap tattoo isn’t good and a good tattoo isn’t cheap – remember that.

I’m wanting to get a tattoo based off Tom Petty’s Wildflowers lyrics. The lyrics mean a lot to me. The lyrics say "You belong among the wildflowers. You belong in a boat out at sea. You belong with your love on your arm. You belong somewhere you feel free." I was wanting my tattoo to have wildflowers in it and represent being free. But I still want wildflowers in it. Any suggestions? Pics would be great also!

those words would look great in the pic you have in the bubble maybe in a gothic writing or maybe plan arial writing maybe even cursive

Cover a tattoo with another…?

So my first ever tattoo was of my own name, yeah real clever huh, young and dumb i tell ya, lol. Anyway its not really big, bout the size of a post it note. I was considering getting it covered over with a moon and stars type design. But i wanted to know if anyone here has ever had it done and was it successful? also if you have any pics of it recovered, feel free to post them. Thanks.

It’s common and very easy to get a tattoo covered, you can go over a tattoo any time, many people do it if theirs has faded over time. The tattooist will just colour over your name masking it with the new design. They’re used to this situation.

I’m 16 and am getting my first tattoo this summer. I’ve had a rough past and have dealt with depression,ocd, VERY low self-esteem,bullying and crazy fights with my mom(sum of which got the police involved) for 4 years and I’ve finally had enough!I;m seeing a therapist, taking meds and working on my inner self and I finally feel like me again.. Everybody is telling me what a change. I wanna get a tattoo of an angel wing just above each ankle to represent freedom from my past and being a free spirit. I looked at sum pics and I love it, but does anybody have any other pics and what do ya’ll think of this idea?

Good you didn’t get tattoos when you were going through all those hard times. I have seen teens get fierybloodydeathskullreckless tattoos, only to regret getting them when they gold older and found out who they really were. "freedom from my past and being a free spirit". I always wanted tats, but waited until I felt I truly knew myself before getting them. I finally got an absolutely beautiful Apsara (Buddhist Angel) on my right arm in Thailand ten years ago. And three years ago I got a tat on my left arm of Guan Yin (Chinese Goddess of compassion). I doubt I will get anymore, as they are symmetrical (both on my upper arms). I didn’t get them to show off or be cool. Like you, I got them as personal symbols of my freedom. Also, they do represent a tradional om my fathers side (Irish) that goes back to the Druids. At least that’s what my grandfather said. He had one on each upper arm, my father has one on each upper arm. Even if it isn’t from Druid lineage, it is a family tradition nevertheless. My father feels honored that I carry that torch, and my nephews are already considering what tats they will get. They are a little older than you and (like you), know better than to get something they will regret. The will wait until they find something that means something to them. I think you are really open minded and I’m glad to hear that you got through those tough times. Your tats will be a constant reminder to your triumphs and successes. Ok..im 18 years old and I am a senior in High School…I am pretty confident person and have hooked up with quite a few girls threw my teen years…I have never had a real steady relationship though

Yeah it looks alright…..not way out there in design, kept it nice and simple.
