So you’ve searched for “tattoos crosses” and haven’t found YOUR cross tattoos yet?

Your search for cross tattoos doesn’t end at Google with “tattoos crosses“, that’s where it just begins. A search is just that, a search. You’re searching for YOUR tattoo, not a tattoo someone else wanted. Find a few that you like, and alter them. If you find one that’s SORT of what you’re looking for, take it to the tattoo artist and say “I like this, but I want it to be more like THIS…” and he’ll draw something up for you. Or look for ideas somewhere else. Maybe search for pictures of graveyards, tombstones, or even churches and look at the crosses they have on or in their buildings and print THAT out.

After watching the movie Passion of the Christ, I decided to check into cross tattoos, but I couldn’t find anything that fit me. One day I was in a Harley shop, and I found an awesome silver cross necklace that was made out of tribal flames. I bought it, took it down to the tattoo artist and said “I want this, but I want the top flame lengthened to match the bottom one, I want it in blue and fading out to white, I want the smaller flames in yellow and orange, and instead of the circle in the middle, I want a pink heart. This is my result…a custom tattoo that nobody else has (yet). LOL

Is it stupid to have tattoos that represent different religions?

I’m a Protestant and was thinking of getting a small tattoo of a cross. I’m not very religious, but I am somewhat. I was also thinking of getting an Ohm symbol. Do you guys think it would be really stupid to get both of these? I’m going to get them anyway, just want to see what people think.

I have an ohm symbol (inside of a buddhist enso) on my left shoulder blade, and the celtic symbol for the Trinity on my right shoulder blade. I think as long as you understand both symbols, then it’s not odd. The ohm symbol actually represents a fairly Christian idea anyway: we must live our daily lives but should always be focused on the eternal significance of our actions and be seeking complete understanding. Sounds similar to the verse about laying up treasures in heaven if you ask me. Good choices and good luck with your tattoos

What is the Air Force Officer policy on Tattoos?

I want to apply to Air Force OTS. I have a large cross and skeleton on my left upper arm, and two tiny crosses on my inner wrists (about an inch in length and half inch wide). Will this be a problem?

The tattoo can only cover 25% of the exposed body part. Any space inside the tattoo that isn’t colored in does not count against you.

Here is the direct instruction concerning tattoos:

Tattoos/brands anywhere on the body that are obscene or advocate sexual, racial, ethnic, or religious discrimination are prohibited in and out of uniform. Tattoos/brands that are prejudicial to good order and discipline or that are of a nature that tends to bring discredit upon the Air Force are prohibited in and out of uniform. Tattoos that are commonly associated with gang affiliations are prohibited both in and out of uniform. Unauthorized (content): Members who receive tattoos/brands not meeting the standards after the implementation of this policy are required to initiate tattoos/brands removal at their own expense upon notification by their Commander. Initial Accessions must disclose any tattoos and must complete removal of inappropriate tattoos prior to being accepted in the Air Force. Members failing to remove or alter unauthorized tattoos in a timely manner may be subject to disciplinary action or involuntary separation.

Excessive tattoos/brands will not be exposed or visible (includes visible through the uniform) while in uniform. Excessive is defined as any tattoo/brands that exceed 1/4 of the exposed body part and those above the collarbone and readily visible when wearing an open collar uniform. Members should not be allowed to display excessive tattoos that would detract from an appropriate professional image while in uniform. Commanders should use these guidelines in determining appropriate military image and acceptability of tattoos displayed by members in uniform. Air Force members with tattoos not meeting an acceptable military image should be required to (a) maintain complete coverage of the tattoos using current uniform items (e.g. long-sleeved shirt/blouse, pants/slacks, dark hosiery, PT running suit, etc.) or (b) remove tattoo(s). Depending on the circumstances, commanders may seek Air Force medical support for voluntary tattoo removal. PTDY is not authorized in this situation and is at member’s expense. Members failing to remove, cover, or alter excessive tattoos or who choose not to comply with acceptable military standards may be subject to disciplinary action or involuntary separation.

Can a simple cross tattoo be changed to make it more elaborate?

I have a simple cross tattoo, but I want to change it to something a little more elaborate. can it be done?

can a good tattoo artist take the original cross (colored in brown), and change it’s style and maybe change the color to black?
