hiii so i’m planning on getting a tattoo of a really cool tribal cross on my wrist. i want it to be just a simple black cross. but i have been noticing that most peoples tattoos that are supposed to be black appear to be blue, does anyone know why is this is. I dont want to walk around with a blue cross on my wrist, i just want it to be black! please someone help me!
I have black that looks black, not blue. After had it done I went back the following week and had it done again so it is dark black. I use sunscreen on it when I tan and still it is unmistakably black.

I just got my first tattoo last Saturday, a black cross with silver inside on my upper left arm. I want to get a tribal band of some sort on my right arm but I was wondering how long I should/have to wait before getting more ink done? I definitely have the bug and wanted to get the second on sunday, but didn’t have the money yet.
I definately got the tatoo bug after I got my first tat. I waited a week before I got my second. I don’t think there are really rules or guidelines for this type of thing. Just as long as you can pay for it you can get another when ever you want!

I heard on the radio this morning that the Red Cross is desperate for blood donations and they are looking for type O especially and that’s what I am. I would love to donate, but will they allow me to if I have tattoos? I have three and I have gotten them all within the last year, the most recent one I got last month
No you can’t donate blood if you got a tattoo within a year. Heres what the deferred list says… Wait 12 months after a tattoo if the tattoo was applied in a state that does not regulate tattoo facilities. This requirement is related to concerns about hepatitis. Learn more about hepatitis and blood donation. Acceptable if the tattoo was applied by a state-regulated entity using sterile needles and ink that is not reused. Only a few states currently regulate tattoo facilities, so most donors with tattoos must wait 12 months after tattoo application before donating blood. You should discuss your particular situation with the health historian at the time of donation. I know for sure if you got the tattoo in California they will not let you donate. Just check out which states they allow

I have three tattoos. A Celtic cross on my back, a butterfly on my ankle, and a scorpion on my foot. I’m planning on joining the Marines soon. Will my tattoos be a problem?
Haha I figured I’d get a lot of crap about it. I was young and stupid when I got it though.

Only offensive and gang related tattoos are disqualifying. You should be ok. You will get a lot of shit from your fellow Marines about that butterfly though lol.

ok no i dont have any tattoos for the person that said all your tattoos will look trashy
and its not a cross for religion its a memorial tattoo for my mom i will put a poem/saying that we had engraved on her stone put in it

I think the cross is a little plain, the words in the center will probs spice it up a bit but the tattoo would have to be biggish in order for it to not look cluttered…and I don’t like the sound of a yellow back ground– i think that would look a bit- horrible. Red might be better. Better still would be if you left it in the grey shading with no color. Prephaps adding some ray/light beams coming from the cross as well, soft grey ones. I’ve seen that before and it looks pretty effective…although you would have to accept the irony of getting a tattoo of a cross and the words "only god can judge me" because in the bible it says something about marking bodies with tattoos is wrong—dont ask me for a quote though, i dont read the bible!
And I have a star on my wrist. Its red with a black outline. A lot of people would say that its cliche or overdone. I dont particularily care because its something i like and i wanted something simple for my first tatt. Incidently i should be getting another one soon— a troll on my ankle. This will serve as a goodluck charm for my ill grandad, and also as a reminder not to take my family for granted (but i cant be bothered to explain the story behind it!)
