I would rather not have Chinese or Japanese symbols.
my grandma is Japanese, and she recently passed away….she was my strength, as well as a beautiful person. I got a koi tattooed on my ankle, to represent the strength and beauty. In japanese culture, a koi is said to represent strength and courage…due to their constant struggles
I am getting a tattoo, and I am looking for symbols or pictures that could represent strength & courage.?

Choose a picture or symbol that represents something to YOU, not to anyone else. What is something in YOUR life that represents strength and courage?
Try animals; eagle, bear…
If you really want to TEST your strength and courage, go for a swastika. Your strength and courage will be tested often.
