japanese symbols for a tattoo?

i want to make a tattoo which says "love life" in Japanese…i found a site which translated it like this – 愛生命 is it right?

If you translate "love life", I agree with huzzzzzahhh.

Keep in mind, however, that "愛の生活" doesn’t mean much of anything in Japanese. Just "愛" (love) alone would appear much better.

One more thing I’d like you to remember is, tattooing itself is not very compatible with the Japanese culture/society. This is probably because most of us don’t have any on us, and tattoos used to be peluliar to criminals and yakuzas (Japanese mafia). This might be unbelievable to you, but many public bathhouses/spas in Japan won’t let you in if you have tattoos on you, which is one of the controversial topics here.

If you want to say "lovelife" what they said is probably fine. If you’re saying "love life" telling someone to love it as an imperative,
you would say something like 生命を愛せよ
    Seimei o aiseyo.

aishitekudasai if you’re being polite :P
I don’t actually know if this is the correct imperative form, please correct it if you know better.
